‘Twas the flight before Christmas

‘Twas the flight before Christmas, when all through the gatehouse, all creatures were stirring, even the emotional support mouse.

The cabin bags were hung in the overhead bins with care, in hopes that team Delta would soon get us there.

The passengers were nestled all snug in the seats, while visions of Biscoff cookies made us eager to eat.

And the purser in a kerchief, and the pilots with their caps, we just settled in to the line on the tarmac.

When out on the wing, there arose such a clatter, I woke from my nap to see what was the matter.

Away to the sky, we flew like a flash! I tore open the window shade, took pictures – no flash.

The moon on the wing of the airplane below, gave the luster of the small world below.

When what to my wondering eyes should appear, but final descent and the words we love to hear.

The professionalism, so lively and sweet, I knew in a moment #deltaproud never missed a beat.

Busier than eagles, the concourses they came, We landed, some clapped and called them by name:

Welcome to New York! Welcome to Los Angeles!

Welcome to Minneapolis and Seattle!

On Boston! On Salt Lake!

On Detroit and Atlanta!

To the top of the jet bridge! To baggage claim they go! Never once realizing the amazing team below.

As the passengers leave, the planes continue to fly, when met with distance, we take to the sky.

So off to the next airport, the aircraft they flew with the sleigh full of passengers, and Delta team too.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a safe flight.
