Confirm the correct pickup zone and terminal before leaving arrivals. There is no completed metro connection from the terminal into the city yet, so do not stand outside waiting for infrastructure that remains a future-tense sentence.

Keep passports and phones secure because snatch theft and distraction scams occur, including criminals operating from motorbikes. Road risk is substantial across India, and pedestrians should assume marked crossings do not generate a protective force field. The city is energetic and rewarding, but traffic deserves more respect than your itinerary probably gave thought possible.
