Cikaracak Waterfall is a breathtaking natural wonder located on Pangrango in the beautiful country of Indonesia. The waterfall is situated in the village of Cikaracak, almost equal distance from Bandung and Jakarta, the country’s capital. This stunning waterfall is known for its clear, turquoise waters, surrounded by lush greenery, making it a popular destination for nature lovers and adventurers looking for a unique nature destination.
The waterfall is located within a protected forest area, home to various plant and animal species. Visitors can enjoy a refreshing dip in the cool waters of the waterfall, surrounded by the tranquil sounds of nature. Cikaracak Waterfall Uncensored
Similar to my trip to Kawasan Falls in the Philippine island of Cebu, getting to Cikaracak Waterfall was a challenge. No matter what application you’re using, using “Cikaracak Waterfall” as the destination does not take you to the correct location but instead to another ridge adjacent to where you need to be.
You can’t drive up to the falls; you’ll need to hike approximately 2-3 kilometers, following the Cikaracak River upstream. The hike is moderately intense, doable for almost anyone without mobility issues, and takes 40-60 minutes. The trail is largely marked, with only a few challenging areas crisscrossing the river as your ascent to the base of the falls.
During the rainy season, the flow from the Cikaracak River may be particularly strong, making the required river crossings dangerous.
You’ll be greeted by the smaller waterfall, which is in a cove 5 minutes downstream from the main falls. This area is magnificent and breathtaking to get your Instagram game on. It is also a great place to rest as it is mostly shaded, and you can relax in the cool mountain water.
On the final ascent to the main waterfall, you’ll be greeted with a stunning panoramic view of a 100 meter wall of water freefalling from the mountain above – it is truly gorgeous and humbling to see in person.
Tourism at the Cikaracak Waterfall was surprisingly non-existent when I visited in April. My guide and I were the only people there. They did say that during their peak tourism times, the falls will be packed with 200’ish people clamoring to snap pictures of this fantastic nature tourism destination.

Dozens to hundreds of people make the trek up to the Cikaracak Waterfall during the high season.
The hike takes 40-60 minutes and is considered an easy to moderate hike, with a few areas where you’ll need to cross the river. There is a gentle ascent for the entirety of the hike and the paths are somewhat marked.
