Arriving at the visitor point greets tourists with hundreds of cars and motorbikes packed into a tiny parking lot – the sheer popularity of this destination is overpowering.
Almost all tour operators take visitors throughout the island and stop at Kelingking Beach and other popular photo spots.
Hiking down to the beach requires endurance, lots of water, and a shitload of sunscreen. The 400-meter (1,200-foot) descent is alright; however, once you’ve grown tired of the beach, it’s another 400-meter climb back to the top.
Along the ridgeline of cliffs, hundreds of visitors jockey for a prime position to snap their selfies to make their friends jealous.
