The old port, citadel, religious brotherhood chapels, cemeteries, and wartime traces make the city far more layered than a ferry timetable suggests. Corsican ruins and coastal paths often cross private or protected land. Follow signs, check fire restrictions, and do not enter a crumbling tower because several other tourists made the same bad decision first.

Old-port reflections, citadel walls, baroque interiors, mountain backdrops, and Cap Corse headlands are the obvious prizes. Morning light reaches the harbor before the lanes become busy.
