Complimentary upgrades are available on domestic and short-haul international flights to First Class and are ordered by elite status (DM, PM, GM, SM), then fare class basis code (Y, B, M, H, Q, K, L, U, T, X, V). Unfortunately, finding the fare basis code will require a call to reservations.
Certain domestic transcontinental routes with a Delta One cabin will have complimentary day-of-departure upgrades available. Upgrades are ordered by elite status (DM, PM, GM, SM), then fare class basis code (Y, B, M, H, Q, K, L, U, T, X, V).
International long-haul flights with Delta Premium Select and Delta One cabins will require use of a global upgrade certificate to be applied to the reservation to access these cabins – there are no complimentary upgrades available.
